STUDIO POLICIES
We wholeheartedly believe in respecting the time of our clientele as well as ourselves. Through our commitment to provide beautiful experiences to each of our clients and out of respect for our time, we would like to educate our guests on the following policies:
ARRIVAL TIME
Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment's start time. Arriving early for your service allows time for an overall more relaxed experience as well as time to complete any intake paperwork not finished prior to your session. Please feel free to help yourself to a cup of tea! If you arrive late to your appointment, your treatment time may be shortened and the original service duration will be charged.
STUDIO ENERGETIC CLEANSING
As a disclaimer to all our clients, we regularly cleanse our healing space using energetics such as smudging sage and burning palo santo. The intent behind this is to bless and take ownership of our space as well as increasing our vibration and fostering a spiritual, meditative studio. If this is a concern for you, please reach out to the studio to arrange personal accommodations.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Your session time is reserved exclusively for you. We truly value your patronage and ask that you abide by our scheduling policies. If you need to cancel or reschedule your service, please provide us with a 48Â hour notice. Any cancellations within a 48Â hour window will be invoiced for half the service price.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND HEALTH INTEGRITY
At Awaken Aura, we pride ourselves on only using products and processes that respect our bodies and our planet. All products used during massage as well as laundering and cleaning are entirely organic and sustainably sourced.
INFORMED CONSENT AND CLIENT BOUNDARIES
Before each service, we will discuss your individualized treatment plan for that specific session. At your first visit with Awaken Aura, you will be required to sign our treatment consent form stating that you have read the information provided and agree to comply with the professional policies and procedures put in place. All clients are encouraged to leave on as much clothing as they wish for personal comfort. Guests will always be draped modestly and only the area being massaged will be undraped. Communication between therapist and client is key for comfort and respect of both parties.
MASSAGE SCOPE OF PRACTICE
Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is never appropriate. The breast and genital area will not be massaged under any circumstances. Request for sexual service will not be tolerated and will be perceived as solicitation and will be reported to the authorities. The service will be terminated, the client will be charged for the scheduled service and asked to leave the studio immediately.
CLIENT HEALTH INFORMATION
Each client is responsible for disclosing any and all medical conditions and treatments. If a new diagnosis or treatment is given, the client must inform their practitioner prior to their service. We may ask a client to provide consent to receive massage treatment from their physician if deemed necessary by our staff. Awaken Aura abides by HIPAA guidelines and keeps all client information confidential.
